Winslow Jersey

Winslow Jersey -

It is not enough to believe. We have to learn to put our beliefs to the test and act accordingly. These days, in the present economy, it seems as though it's easy to slip into selfish thinking. When things get tough we tend to focus on ourselves and our families. This is natural, but it is important that we still try to make a difference in the lives of others. You don't have to spend a lot of time or money to make a difference. In fact, just a few seconds can make a difference. Maybe we should all create a plan to do something to change the world every day, or at least once per week. There are some great books available that can provide suggestions, and you can come up with your own ideas about how to help others with just a few dollars or a few minutes. The key is to focus on what you CAN do, not on what you CAN'T do. Can you drop by to check on an elderly neighbor? Can you take a few minutes to clear a neighbor's sidewalk of snow? How about taking a few napkins from home so that you can pick up a couple of pieces of trash to throw away on your way to work or school (the napkins are so that you don't get your hands dirty)? Can you manage a second and a few extra calories of energy to smile at someone, hold the door for someone, or give someone a compliment? How about a tip and a "Thank you" for a service person? We may not be in a position to donate millions, but in these times it is more important than ever to put the emphasis back on giving. It's easy to think of others when you feel like you have it all. The true test of character is how we Winslow Jersey focus on helping others when times are tough.

Church Fundraisers - Many churches are not doing so well with all of the panic about the economy. While some are holding up just fine, others are struggling because people are going into survival mode, not giving like they used to. Fortunately, there are some great ideas out there for you to raise money for your church without putting too much strain on its members. You can have a massive church garage sale where everyone donates unneeded items and all proceeds are kept by the church. You can set up an online shopping referral / associate program through Amazon or another site where everyone goes through a certain website before they do their shopping, and the company pays a percentage of the sales into your church's bank account. If the whole congregation does its Amazon Winslow Jersey shopping through the same referral program, the members do not pay any more than they would have otherwise, but that percentage goes to the church. There are even products out there that are offered to churches and charities to use as fundraisers, splitting their profits with the organization that partners with Winslow Jersey them. There is always a way.
